He is no faraway God. His desire is for everyone to confess their sins n turn to Him to be saved. He made a way for that, and in a nutshell i'm glad. sometime after that, i received a text from Lisman.. and it ended with a sentence which struck me. "Have a blessed Sabbath grace." immediately in my mind i thought," Oh dear, i wasn't intending to take a rest and keep the Sabbath. There's no way i can do that and finish all i need to do" I felt bad. A humble dinner and planned songs and programmes to honour them, to let them have a relaxing time, and a chance to bridge the us-them divide. I had never ever heard of such an initiative before, and reading the publicity and the heart behind this 'movement' made me give thanks to God for moving the hearts of fellow Christians to love the internationals in our midst. Too long we have ignored them, perhaps even secretly spurned them, and though this one-off act is insufficient to acknowledge their efforts and sacrifice- it was a good start. Though the event was already starting in a week's time, we tried to contact the organisers to see whether and how VCF could help in some small way. Amazingly, HMC were short of servers/host, and with some publicity, 19 of us were gathered to help out.
